About Michelle Baldwin
Dr. Baldwin currently teaches full-time in the BSN program on the Lambuth Campus. Her primary teaching assignment is Gerontological Nursing and Practicum. She also enjoys teaching Health Assessment Lab to first semester LCON nursing students. Dr. Baldwin is currently the President of the West Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Alliance.
She is also a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA), American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She enjoys attending the TNA and AANP professional conventions as often as possible. Dr. Baldwin is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has prior experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU Stepdown and Telemetry units and the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. She practiced as a travel nurse for over five years at hospitals across the United States.
Dr. Baldwin's nursing passions include cardiac and geriatric care. Dr. Baldwin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Union University with focus in Management/Marketing and worked in a corporate setting for over eight years. She returned to Union University in Germantown and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She most recently earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Michelle is mom to Mollie Mae, her "four-legged child". Mollie Mae accompanies Michelle on most travel adventures. Michelle enjoys travelling, yoga, water exercise and is an avid movie enthusiast.
