FedEx Institute of Technology
The FedEx Institute of Technology is the home for applied innovation at the University
of Memphis and represents a unique public-private partnership among Fortune 500 companies.
Through the FedEx Institute of Technology's strategic interdisciplinary focus on emerging
technologies, Memphis is building a wave of applied research and situating the UofM
as the strategic solution for advanced technology workforce solutions.
Office of Technology Transfer
The Office of Technology Transfer is responsible for the process of transferring scientific
findings from one organization to another for the purpose of further development and
commercialization. The Office assists researchers with filing patents and invention
disclosures, helps with the licensing of University IP, and expands the impact of
the University's research products.
UMRF Research Park
The University of Memphis is pleased to provide a landing pad for growth stage and
mature technology companies ready to call Memphis home. The UMRF Research Park is
a part of the University of Memphis Research Foundation, a 501c3 committed to growing
the research capacity for the entire campus. Providing aligned resources and office
facilities for collaborators, The UMRF Research Park helps companies from around the
world see the value of operating in Memphis.
