Looking for a quick way to enhance your leadership skills to help organizations make better decisions in a technologically-driven world?
The Graduate Certificate for Business Information Assurance offered through the MIS Department at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics is a four-course program that can be taken post-bachelor’s degree, post-master’s degree or as part of a master’s degree program.
This program is comprised of many managerial methodologies in high demand such as how to properly manage an organization's assets related to a wide range of information security and privacy threats, how to plan for possible breaches of security and how to handle problems that arise as a result.
curriculum
The Business Information Assurance Certificate is a 12-credit hour/four course program.
Required:
- MIS 7455 – Cyber Ethics in IT (3)
- MIS 7610 – Systems Analysis and Design (3)
- MIS 7650 – Information Systems for the Global Enterprise (3)
- MIS 7670 – Information Security Management (3)

U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, awarded by an accredited college or university. The MSIS program will consider three-year degrees from accredited institutions.
