The key to a healthy mind is a healthy body. Memphis provides numerous gyms and opportunities for physical activity.
Get healthy and have fun doing it by going to the Student Recreation and Fitness Center! You can join an intramural team, play basketball, take yoga classes, swim in the pool or use the cardio & weight room for a more traditional workout. Go to Campus Recreation for more information, including days and times that the gym is open.
Tom Lee Park: This large riverfront park was redesigned in 2023 and features extensive areas for
fitness, sports, and exercise near downtown Memphis.
Shelby Farms Greenline: A 10.65 mile paved trail that is open to pedestrians and cyclists. Bike rentals
are available.

There are many places to dine both on-campus and off-campus. Students who have dining dollars can simply swipe a card to purchase food on campus, or use another method of payment.
On-Campus Dining:
Nineteen locations, including convenience markets, coffee shops, fast food, and restaurant

Off-Campus Dining:
Garibaldi's Pizza – Local pizzeria located on Walker Avenue
RP Tracks – Burgers & Mexican food located on Walker Avenue
Otherlands Coffee Bar – Coffee shop located on Cooper Street
Brother Juniper's – popular brunch spot on Walker Avenue
Moe's Southwest Grill – burritos & nachos located on Walker Avenue
Downtown Memphis, Cooper Young, Overton Square, Poplar/Highland, and Poplar/Perkins all have concentrations of restaurants from casual to high-end.
