Broadcast Journalism

The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, concentration in Broadcast Journalism, trains students to become professionals in the broadcast news industry. Broadcast Journalism graduates typically work at television stations, radio stations and online news outlets as anchors, content creators, editors, photographers, producers, reporters and social media managers. Journalism students take 51 hours of credit from Journalism and Strategic Media.

Students are strongly encouraged to use elective hours to obtain a minor. Minors should coordinate with the student’s career goals and should advance their understanding of a reporting area. Students should consult with their academic adviser when selecting a minor.
