The University of Memphis Law Review seeks article proposals and speakers to participate in a symposium focused on the challenges of preserving individual privacy rights in a growing data-driven society.
The University of Memphis Law Review welcomes a broad range of perspectives on these issues, including how to continue to innovate while maintaining meaningful control over personal information and the ways in which it is collected, used, stored, shared, and processed. The event brings together attorneys, judges, academics, and other professionals to learn and engage in meaningful conversation.
Proposals will be accepted through September 25, 2026.
Symposium Topics
The editors seek articles and speakers whose work addresses or is related to one or more of the following topics:
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies connection with privacy laws.
- Surveillance, facial recognition, and privacy rights in public spaces.
- Informational privacy and protection of sensitive data.
- Individual autonomy and control over personal information.
- Public health surveillance and individual healthcare privacy rights.
- Social media user and consumer rights.
- Any other emerging and related issues in privacy law and data governance in the modern digital age, including in the context of consumer, workplace, or children’s privacy.

- Indicate whether you wish to publish, present, or both.
