About James Zubko
Dr. James Zubko Jr. (PhD University of Memphis 2020) is an adjunct instructor. He earned his BA in philosophy from Smith College. His areas of research specialization are 20th century Continental philosophy and philosophy of sex and gender, specifically trans philosophy.
Dr. Zubko's dissertation entitled "Ways of Being, Seen and Unseen: Concepts, Practices and the Emergence of Trans Ways of Life" concerned questions of social possibility in connection with gender. It drew on works by Heidegger and Foucault and included critical appraisals of works from 20th century sexology and transgender theory.
