Abstract
The Sugar Smart Education Campaign focuses on creating inclusive, student-centered wellness initiatives on campus through interactive events such as stress-relief nights, mental health workshops, campus health fairs, and peer-led discussions. The goal of this initiative is to make health education practical, engaging, and accessible for students with different backgrounds and life responsibilities.
Through collaboration with campus health services, student organizations, and local community partners, the campaign aims to build a strong support network that reaches all areas of the student population —including commuter students balancing work and classes and first-generation students adjusting to college life. A core message of this initiative is that students are not alone and that support, resources, and guidance are available to help them succeed.
By hosting recurring events and developing lasting partnerships, this project works to make health information approachable and relevant while supporting students academically, emotionally, and physically. The long-term vision is to create a campus culture where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to make informed health choices and thrive in their college experience.
