Para Pro Assessment

The ParaPro Assessment is a computerized exam that measures the reading, writing
and basic math competencies of practicing and prospective paraprofessionals.  In
accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act, the ParaPro Assessment can be used
to certify teacher's aides and assistants in the instruction of these subjects
to school children.

Registration Information

  • Cost: $35 Test Administration Fee - payable through our secure online payment system + a $55 Exam Fee - payable on test day by Credit/Debit only- all testing fees are non-refundable & non-transferable. The administration fee of $35 must be paid and your confirmation receipt must be submitted to Kimberly Avant via email or fax (  or (901)678-2745) prior to making your appointment.

  • Examines are to report to Brister Hall 112 at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time. Please be prompt - Late arrivals will not be admitted.

What to Bring

  • A non-expired Government issued photo ID is required and must be presented prior to testing. Your photo ID must contain a signature and match the name you used when registering exactly - NO EXCEPTIONS.  Acceptable forms of photo identification are: State-issued driver's license, State-issued ID card, Passport, Military ID card

  • Acceptable Credit/Debit card so that your $55.00 exam fee can be processed through the ETS ParaPro Assessment system; acceptable forms of payment are a valid Credit/Debit card that displays the MasterCard, Visa or American Express logo. Please Note:  To avoid the possibility of your payment being denied - you must know the address that is linked to your credit/debit card.
