The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS®) is a multiple-choice assessment of basic academic knowledge in reading, mathematics, science and English and language usage and has a total allotted time of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The objectives assessed on the TEAS exam are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level skills and abilities of nursing program applicants. The TEAS exam is offered at both the University of Memphis Main Campus as well as the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus by appointment only.
The administration fee for the TEAS exam is $82 + service fee. Candidates may select an exam date and pay their administration fee through our secure payment link below. (Please note that you must schedule your exam 48 hours prior to your requested test date and cancel or reschedule your exam 24 hours before your scheduled exam).
Please create a TEAS user account by going to: https://www.atitesting.com/teas - once on the home page, click the "Create an Account" tab. Failure to create a user account will result in you not being about to take your exam and you will be required to reschedule.

On Exam Day:
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time; arriving more than 15 minutes after your scheduled reporting time will forfeit your exam fee and your will be required to reschedule.
Your self created TEAS username and password is required for testing - please have it with you on exam day or you will be required to reschedule - please note that you will not have the opportunity to to retrieve your username and password on exam day.
A valid government issued photo ID with signature is required for testing.
