Goal 6:  Exemplify Operational Excellence

Optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness through the establishment of high standards and expectations to maximize resource utilization and to uphold accountability.

2024 Actions:

• CAS will develop and implement a staffing model that provides full-service research support from pre-award to grant closeout and collaborate with the Division of Research and Innovation to develop a post-award manual and streamline processes for post-award approvals for expending research funds.
  
  
• CAS will collaborate with the Division of Student Academic Success to establish short and long-term strategies to support students experiencing preparedness gaps, including gaps associated with pandemic losses, to enhance the capabilities of our students and College.
  
  
• CAS will establish regular meetings between the Dean and CAS senators from both the Staff and Faculty Senate to expand shared governance and improve communication within the college.
  
  
• CAS will create a framework to assist in formation/creation of internships and develop systems to allow for internship collaboration and innovation across college units and across campus.
