About
JoAnna Boudreaux joined the Department of Communication as a PhD. candidate and Research Assistant in 2018. She earned her MA. in Sociology at the University of Memphis and spent one semester teaching Sociology courses as an adjunct instructor before resuming her graduate studies. Her current research interests include understanding how race, religion, and gender intersect to shape feminine and masculine identities. She is also interested in issues surrounding social inequality and health disparity. JoAnna is a native Memphian and a mother to five. In her spare time she enjoys literature, poetry and spending time with her family.
