Dr. Harold "Hal" Price Scholarship Awarded

by Tori Wolfe

Ebony Berry, a second year Speech-Language Pathology graduate student, is the first recipient of the Dr. Harold A. “Hal” Price Scholarship. This scholarship was created to support graduate students pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology. The recipient was required to be in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 grade point average and demonstrate need. As part of the School’s diversity initiative, special consideration was given to students from under-represented groups in the SLP profession. The scholarship was competitive, and the recipient was determined by a selection committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. When asked about her thoughts on being the first recipient of this scholarship, Berry expressed, “I feel honored to be the first recipient of such a meaningful award. This scholarship has helped reduce my financial strain. It is my hope that the University continues to provide opportunities for the student body.” Congratulations, Ebony!
