Mental Health Support

Campus Resources: Counseling Center

The Counseling Center at the University of Memphis offers free counseling, wellness and psychiatric services to help nursing students experiencing emotional, psychological and/or interpersonal problems. All services are confidential and most are free of charge for students currently enrolled in at lest 6 credit hours.

Confidential Telehealth Service

Students can access the counseling center confidential telehealth service by visiting the virtual waiting room from 10 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. After speaking with our administrative staff to fill out some paperwork, one of our therapists will see you for a brief appointment and discuss options for a future appointment.

24/7 Crisis Line

Operated through University Police Service, this confidential hotline provides students who are experiencing mental health crisis an on-call counselor. The number is 901.678.HELP (4357). 

Outreach and Prevention Calendars

According to Counseling Services, outreach is defined as education and prevention in motion. Outreach programming provides preventative interventions in many areas concerning mental health and wellness. >> More information
