The Social Work Field Education Team

Maggie Landry (middle) is the Assistant MSW Field Director. She places all 2nd year MSW students in their internships, and is considered the Field Team's "tech person". Maggie can be contacted via email or phone: malandry@memphis.edu or 901-466-6689.

All potential field agency sites must participate in a "Prospective Agency Meeting" with the field directors before the Clinical Affiliation process can be started. At this time, we are meeting potential agencies via Zoom. This meeting typically takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes, and is meant to gather basic information on what the agency does, what population is served, how the agency plans to utilize social work student interns, onboarding requirements, etc. Contact Cherry Malone for more details or to schedule this meeting.

Training for Field Instructors
- The 2023-2024 academic year Field Instructor Training was recorded live via Zoom on Friday, August 4, 2023. Field Instructors who were not present at the live event and/or new Field Instructors who are vetted after 8/4/23 may view the recording and verify completion via the Qualtrics evaluation.
- Field Liaison Training video. Field Liaison Training PowerPoint. Consumers should note that the liaison training was recorded by previous BA Field Director, Kenya Anderson. Any inquiries for BA field should now be addressed to Danielle Seemann.
- Field Instructor Supervision training to be held in-person on campus at the University of Memphis later this year (Fall 2023). More information will be posted once available.

Field Form Hosting on Tevera
The School of Social Work is moving to a new platform for hosting our internship forms. We will begin using Tevera during Summer 2023 with our undergraduate students placed for Summer-Fall, and continue with the MSW program in Fall 2023.
