We're excited to welcome our newest graduate students to the University of Memphis Graduate School community! Join us for an engaging and informative Graduate Student Orientation designed to help you feel prepared, connected, and confident as you begin your journey. We are providing 2 options for you to attend; one at the UofM or one virtually via Teams.
Graduate Student Orientation
Option 1: Monday, August 17, 2026, from 3:30-5:30 PM | The UofM University Center Ballroom
Option 2: Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 5:30-6:30 PM | Virtual Orientation via TEAMS

Connect with fellow incoming students through ice breakers and small group activities

Gain insights and advice from a student and faculty panel on how to thrive in graduate school

Pick up your swag bag from the Graduate Student Association and enjoy light refreshments
Whether you’re new to Memphis or new to graduate school, Graduate Student Orientation is your first step in building community and accessing the tools you need for success.

Note: A light reception and resource fair will follow the main program, featuring campus partners like the Graduate Student Association (GSA), University Libraries, Career Services, Counseling Services, and more.
