Degree Programs

Today, we offer the following biomedical engineering degree programs:

  • BS and BS with research honors from UofM, 
  • Accelerated BS-to-MS from UofM and the Joint Graduate Program, 
  • MS (thesis and non-thesis options) from the Joint Graduate Program
  • PhD from the Joint Program. 

All degree programs offer flexibility to focus academic and research studies in major subspecialty areas of: (1) Biomechanics, (2) Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine; (3) Biosensors; (4) Electrophysiology; and (5) Imaging. Programs of study may also be tailored to help prepare students planning on pursuing medical, dental, veterinary, and other professional degree studies.
