Abena Asemanyi

 

ABOUT

  Abena Abokoma Asemanyi is a PhD student in the Department of Communication and Film at the University of Memphis. Prior to this, I have been teaching courses in Communication studies at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in the Department of Communication and Media at the University of Education, Winneba. I have also had the opportunity to teach in other private communication institutions in Ghana.    My research interest has generally been in language use in communication and marketing communications. This passion has driven me to do some research in Rhetoric Analysis, Discourse Analysis, Conversational Analysis and advertising. 

 

EDUCATION

She has a Bachelors degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where she obtained a Bachelor of Education in Arts (English).   She has a Masters degree at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, and graduated with an MPhil in Communication and Media Studies.
