Dr. Sajja Earns 2023 NSF Career Award

Dr. Aaryani Tipirneni-Sajja, Biomedical Engineering, received the 2023 National Science Foundation Career Award for “Open-Access, Real-Time High-Throughput Metabolomics for High Field and Benchtop NMR for Biological Injury.”

The March series will be a nuts & bolts workshop focused on identifying funding opportunities and developing competitive proposals.

CyberCorps Scholarship for Service

The federal government is paying for cybersecurity degrees!

CyberCorps SFS is a unique program designed to increase and strengthen the cadre of federal information assurance professionals that protect the government’s critical information infrastructure.

Scholarship Details

  • All tuition and education related fees paid
  • Up to 3 years of support for undergraduate and graduate (MS or PhD) education
  • Academic year stipends of $25,000 for undergraduate students and $34,000 for graduate students
  • Professional allowance of $6,000 for SFS Job Fair and other travel, professional certification, etc.
  • Summer internships
  • Post graduation government service requirement for a period equivalent to length of scholarship

Eligibility

  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Full-time student with a commitment for a career in cybersecurity

RESEARCH NEWS

AutoID Lab open house scheduled

Dr. Kevin Berisso, Engineering Technology, and the The AutoID Lab will be hosting an open house to celebrate their move to a new location at 4055 South Park Loop (Building 29). The event will be held Thursday, March 30 from 12 to 5 p.m.

During the open house, visitors will have the opportunity to hear about research Dr. Berisso is conducting with GS1, meet student researchers and learn how barcodes and RFID can be used to their advantage.
