Starting in the Fall >


For students starting in the Fall:

Freshmen

All incoming freshmen are required to complete orientation. Through orientation, students will meet with an academic advisor, have the opportunity to register for classes, and learn how to be a successful Tiger in and out of the classroom. 

 

Transfer

New Student Orientation for our transfer population consists of information fair from some of our academic programs, presentations on financial aid, options for creating your student ID made or taking a campus tour, and other opportunities. While attending transfer orientation is not required for transfer students, it might be an excellent opportunity to have questions answered and to learn more about campus. 

Freshmen

Freshmen students are covered in their enrollment confirmation ($150). Fees are as followed: 

Students: $0

*Students are able to pay their $150 enrollment confirmation through their Tiger Tracks Portal or by registering for NSO. 


Guests: $50 per guest - up to two guests per student

Guests Overnight Stay: $35 - up to two guests per student

Freshmen orientation is a two-day program. Official check in will be at 5:30 PM on Day 1. Programming will start at 8:00 AM and conclude by 5:00 PM on Day 2. 

While students and guests will have some information sessions together, they will also be seperate at points. Most notably will be when guests will engage with Parent & Family specific content while the students meet with their academic advisor to get registered for classes.

Yes, your immunization forms should be submitted prior to your session date. Those can be uploaded to our Health Center by clicking here. Failure to satisfy your immunization requirements may affect class registration.

For students starting in the spring:

No. Attendance is not mandatory for incoming Spring students. However, it is strongly encouraged for you to sign up to learn more about the resources available to you as a student.

  • Students: $85
  • Guests: $50 per guest

Family members are an important part of the transition to college and we encourage a family member or guest to attend with students.

  • All incoming Spring students should schedule an advising appointment with their respective academic advisors.
  • Please contact your academic department to set up an advising appointment and register for classes prior to attending spring orientation.
