With few exceptions, gifts to the University of Memphis are deposited in the Foundation. A separate 501c(3) organization, the Foundation's board of directors determines the investment policy for endowment. Gifts to The U of M Foundation are used to maintain and enhance the educational and scholarly programs at the U of M.
