Welcome!

 The goal of the First Scholars program is to support first-generation college students and enhance their ability to successfully graduate. We define first-generation college students as those whose parents have no education beyond high school (irrespective of other family members such as older siblings, aunts, or uncles). The program is open to incoming first-time, full-time freshmen whose parents did not attend college. Selected students receive personalized support, an annual award of $5,000, which is renewable for a total award of $20,000 over 4 years.
