About University College
University College was created in 1975. The name, University College, represents a department that utilizes courses taken from other departments and programs within the University that are then grouped together to form interdisciplinary degree programs.
Our mission is to provide interdisciplinary educational opportunities primarily to nontraditional, adult students. The college provides an entry point for students, an innovator of new programs, a catalyst for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary efforts throughout the campus, and a facilitator for the community to interact with the University.
We seek to provide access to quality educational programs and services for a diverse community of learners who seek change through increased knowledge and skill.
University College is an interdisciplinary college where students can develop their own majors or work within existing interdisciplinary majors. You can also get credit for experiential learning where applicable for some life experiences in the workplace. We invite you to look through our website.
