Future Tigers Road Trip
The Future Tigers Road Trip is an overnight bus trip traveling across Tennessee to the University of Memphis. March 22-23, 2024, high school students will participate in this exciting and unique two-day experience that introduces a select group of admitted seniors from Middle & East TN to preview student life at the UofM!
Future Tigers will meet staff and current students, learn more about available opportunities, and tour the beautiful UofM campus. Answer any burning questions about campus life with our campus partners, make new friends as you enjoy social activities, and interact with some of the brightest students on campus as they showcase our student-led organizations. It is an experience you do not want to miss!
How do I sign up for the Future Tigers Road Trip?
There are three easy steps to register.
- Complete your online Future Tigers Road Trip event sign up by Friday, March 1, 2024.
- Email your completed Medical Release Form with your application to jdhall3@memphis.edu by Friday, March 15, 2024.
- Check your email! Next steps and additional information will be sent to your inbox.

The bus will depart from the Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN on Friday, March 22nd at 12:30 PM and return on Saturday, March 23rd around 4 pm.
The trip is for high school students within the Middle and East Tennessee areas who have been accepted into the University of Memphis.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that allows you to visit our college campus along with your fellow peers. You will be able to talk to Scholarship and Financial Aid representatives, get a sneak preview of student life, and have conversations with different academic departments. And your bus ride, hotel room, and meals are all covered – that means FREE to you!
This event will take place Friday, March 22nd - Saturday, March 23, 2024.
This event has several aspects. While attending students will participate in campus tours, engage in teambuilding and social activities, and discuss financial aid & academics.
The priority registration deadline for Future Tiger Road Trip participants is Wednesday, March 1, 2024, or until we have reached capacity with academically eligible applicants. Space is limited, so register today!

The bus will begin loading students in Nashville, TN, Friday, March 22, 2024, starting at 12:00 pm CDT at Opry Mills Mall at Entrance 1 (near the Nike Factory Store, H&M, and Chuy’s) on Briley Parkway. The bus will depart at 12:30 CDT for Memphis, TN. The bus will return from Memphis, TN, Saturday, March 23, 2024, to the same location in Nashville, TN at the Opry Mills Mall around 5:30 pm CDT, depending on traffic.
While in Memphis, students will be pre-matched with other selected high school students and will stay at the Holiday Inn on campus – 3700 Central Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38111. University of Memphis staff will supervise participants throughout their stay and event activities.
All meals, including snacks, will be provided to students while on the UofM campus. Snacks will be provided to the students on the bus ride from Nashville to Memphis. If you would like to bring a few extra snacks for Friday night in your hotel room, feel free!
Students should pack one small overnight bag, personal shower & toiletry materials, comfortable shoes, and clothing. It is advisable, but not required, that students bring a cell phone on the trip to inform rides of accurate return time.
