Future Tigers Road Trip

The Future Tigers Road Trip is an overnight bus trip to the University of Memphis that will be held November 22nd-November 23rd, 2024. It is an exciting and unique two-day experience that introduces a select group of applied seniors from Middle TN to preview student life at the UofM

You will have the opportunity to meet staff and students, learn more about your opportunities available, and tour our beautiful campus. The overnight stay is also in conjunction with our Fall 24 preview day! We will have representation from campus partners, social activities and showcase the different student organizations on campus. It is an experience you do not want to miss!

There are four easy steps to register.

  1. Apply to the University of Memphis and submit an Official Transcript.
  2. Email your completed Medical Release Form with your application to jdhall3@memphis.edu by Friday, November 8th, 2024.
  3. Submit your online registration for the Future Tigers Road Trip event sign up by Friday, November 8th, 2024.
  4. Check your email! Next steps and additional information will be sent to your inbox.

Required Materials

Make sure to email completed forms to jdhall3@memphis.edu before Friday, November 8th, 2024.

Clarksville Registrants: The bus will depart from the Governors Square Mall in Clarksville, TN on Friday, November 22nd at 11:00 am and return on Saturday, November 23rd, around 6 pm.

Nashville Registrants: The bus will depart from the Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN on Friday, November 22nd at 1:00 pm and return on Saturday, November 23rd, around 5 pm.

The trip is for high school students within the Middle and East Tennessee areas who have been applied into the University of Memphis.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that allows you to visit our college campus along with your fellow peers. You will be able to talk to Scholarship and Financial Aid representatives, get a sneak preview of student life and have conversations with different academic departments.

This event will take place Friday November 22nd- Saturday November 23rd, 2024.

This event has several aspects, while attending students will be able to participate in campus tours, engage in teambuilding and social activities, discuss financial aid & academics, and attend our Fall 2024 Preview Day.

The priority registration deadline for Future Tiger Road Trip participants is Friday, November 8, 2024, or until we have reached capacity with academically eligible applicants. Space is limited, so register today!

The Clarksville bus will load in Clarksville Friday, November 22, 2024, starting at 10:00 am CDT at Governors Square Mall near Belk. The buses will depart at 11:am CDT for Memphis. The bus will return from Memphis Saturday, November 23, 2024, to the same location in Clarksville around 6:00 pm CDT, depending on traffic.

The Nashville bus will load in Nashville Friday, November 22, 2024, starting at 12:00 pm CDT at Opry Mills Mall at Entrance 1 (near the Nike Factory Store, H&M, and Chuy’s) on Briley Parkway. The buses will depart at 1:00 pm CDT for Memphis. The bus will return from Memphis Saturday, November 23, 2024, to the same location in Nashville around 5:00 pm CDT, depending on traffic.

While in Memphis, students will be pre-matched with other selected high school students and will stay at the Holiday Inn on campus – 3700 Central Avenue. UofM staff will supervise participants throughout their stay and event activities

All meals will be provided while you are visiting with us on the UofM campus. Snacks will be provided to the students on the bus ride from Nashville to Memphis. If you would like to bring a few extra snacks for Friday night in your hotel room, feel free!

Students should pack one small overnight bag, personal shower & toiletry materials, comfortable shoes, and clothing. It is advisable, but not required, that students bring a cell phone on the trip to inform rides of accurate return time.
