Welcome

The Auditory Processing Lab, directed by Dr. Deborah Moncrieff, applies the principles of neuroscience, language, cognition, and psychophysics to investigate brain-based disorders of auditory processing across the lifespan.  Our clinically-based research investigates deficits that affect everyday listening and learning to provide evidence-based methods for identification and treatment of processing disorders in individuals with both normal and abnormal pure tone sensitivity.  We use behavioral, electrophysiological and neuroimaging methods to characterize abnormalities in binaural auditory processes and to measure outcomes from deficit-specific treatment.
