COVID Relief Technology Access
Through collaborative efforts with Student Academic Success, the Dean of Students office, UofM Libraries, and ITS, the UofM is able to offer loaner technology devices to students, including laptops with webcams and hotspots, to assure technological access for remote instruction and class participation.
Visit the McWherter Library Checkout Desk to request items. A UofM ID is required for building access and to check out technology. Laptop checkout options are either short term (4 hours) or a semester. Check McWherter Library hours before visiting. Questions? Contact the Checkout Desk at 901.678.2205.

Conventional Short Term Loan Continues
The UofM Libraries will continue to provide laptops with wireless capability to UofM students and faculty, on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Checkout Desk; valid UofM ID required. The check out period is 4 hours. The user assumes all responsibility for the laptop and components during the loan period. Current campus computing guidelines apply. Overdue fines accrue at the rate of $10.00 per hour per component. Users are responsible for replacement costs ($800.00) if the laptop is lost, stolen or damaged in any way during the loan period.
