Facilities

The administrative offices of the Department of Architecture are located on the fourth floor of Jones Hall which is conveniently sited in the center of the main campus.  Design studios and instructional spaces are located on the third and fourth floors in Jones Hall.  The Department of Architecture Gallery is located on the west side of the Jones Hall lobby.

Instructional space includes design studios, classrooms, two Visualization + Media labs restricted to architecture and interior architecture students, a graduate student computer lab, a lighting lab, a photography room, a model assembly room, and a resource library. The faculty library collection is also available for students to use.

Each student enrolled in a design studio has a personal workspace including a drafting table and chair in the appropriate studio.  These spaces are accessible on a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week basis.  Each student also has full access to the computer labs with a combined 50 stations consisting of the latest hardware and up-to-date software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suites, among others.

A small model-assembly shop is located in the basement of Jones Hall.  The Department shares a wood shop facility with the Department of Art.  The Art + Architecture Shop is located in the annex immediately to the north of Jones Hall.
