Research Interest:

My research focuses on the impact of phytoestrogens on the sexual behavior of meadow voles, Microtus pennsylvanicus. Specifically, I am interested in discovering how exposure to these exogenous plant-derived estrogens affects olfactory communication, social interaction, behavioral development, and cognitive performance of voles.  Phytoestrogens have been shown to be both estrogen receptor agonists and antagonists, making their influence on animal behavior diverse and difficult to predict.
