Wesley LaRue Hired as CCFA Director of Development

Wesley LaRueWesley LaRue came to the University of Memphis in March as director of development for the College of Communication and Fine Arts.  She is a nonprofit development professional, having worked the past nine years at the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South.

"I’m excited to be at the University of Memphis, specifically in the College of Communication and Fine Arts. In this new role, I will be able to help further the college’s position as an arts and entertainment destination in the city through major gift fundraising and special projects. I look forward to being part of the growth and exciting future of the CCFA," LaRue said.

Before joining the nonprofit workforce, Wesley spent ten years in banking and finance. She received her Certified Nonprofit Professional credential in 2017. Wesley holds a BBA in Finance from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis and a Master's degree in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver.

She is a member of the 2013 Class of Hull Fellows, the Southeastern Council of Foundations program for the South's emerging leaders in philanthropy. Also a graduate of the 2016 Class of Leadership Memphis' Executive Program, Wesley has served on a variety of boards and committees for Memphis area nonprofit organizations, including Volunteer Odyssey and the Memphis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
