Faculty Training Courses
The SOAR team has been working to create personalized training courses for the UofM in Canvas. Below, see training courses for UofM faculty to learn how to conduct human resources and financial processes in our new system, Oracle Cloud. Assigned training is being determined first by persona and then by business role, therefore, your required courses will be assigned based on your role.
Directions for accessing the courses will be provided. Course titles are subject to change.

This course provides users with self-service skills for managing personal and payroll information. Learn to update contact details, attach documents and manage tax withholdings. Navigate Benefits Self Service, handle direct deposits and generate payslips. Set and track development and performance goals, perform self-evaluations and provide peer feedback. Manage time-off requests and view balances. Enhance efficiency and self-sufficiency in handling HR and payroll tasks independently.

- VILT/WBT: Expense Management/Employee Expense Processing

This focused course is designed to provide users with essential skills in managing expenses within Oracle Finance. Participants will learn how to create and approve pre-authorizations, create and approve expense reports, audit expense reports and reimburse expenses. Through practical exercises and demonstrations, this course will enable you to efficiently manage and streamline expense processes within Oracle Finance.

- WBT: Managing Time and Attendance

This course provides an overview of time and attendance management using Oracle HCM. It covers essential topics such as entering and managing weekly time, reviewing and approving time cards and utilizing the time and labor dashboard and reports. Users will learn how to view and manage current and historical time cards, handle team schedules and manage absences. The course also includes instructions on managing time entries, delegating time and labor tasks, and creating time entries on behalf of employees.

Manage and view time cards, create time entries and handle approval requests. Utilize the "My Team" feature for managers, delegate approvals, and run top reports in Oracle, such as termination turnover and time to fill requisitions.
