About Fogelman Women in Leadership (FWL)
Today’s workplaces are seeking to develop and engage more women leaders than ever. Women today represent over 46% of the workplace population but in terms of leadership positions, the percentage trails significantly. We want to help!
We have two ways that we are working to provide supportive programming to help employers engage more women leaders in our region.
First, our student track program is providing guidance to women in both our undergraduate and graduate programs. It is open to all majors on the University of Memphis campus. Our goal is to provide inclusive programming that offers connections to professional women leaders as well as development options such as leadership assessments, skill development and interpersonal growth. Our goal with the student track is to better equip new women leaders as they transition into the workplace.
Our newest track is our professional women track. Beginning in Spring 2023, we are working with a broad range of leaders in our community to build exciting programming that will provide opportunities to women currently in the workplace who want to enhance their career mobility as well as their own leadership styles. In this track, we want to help women in the 901-area and beyond to achieve their desired career goals with purposeful and intentional development programming.
This new program will continue to grow and have more offerings in Fall 2023. Join us in this new journey! If you are a woman in a leadership role, we hope you’ll join us for our Spring 2023 events and if you are a supportive male leader, we would love to talk with you about how we can help you develop the future women leaders in your organization.
