in an after-school writing club

of elementary students
- Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary Starkville School District, 2020-2021: Virtual Writing
Club
- Collaboration between the UofM Center for Literacy Research and Practice, College
of Education and a 4th grade class from Starkville, Mississippi
- Met weekly via Zoom to grow and develop as writers
- UofM undergraduates enrolled in LITL 3001 took up positions as writing mentors to
support the 4th grade writers

- During Summer 2020 in response to the academic and economic trials of COVID-19, over
150 books were delivered to Memphis families.
