Unity in Diversity Scholarship Banquet

6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
The Guest House at Graceland
3600 Elvis Presley Boulevard
For many years, the Benjamin L. Hooks Chapter of the University of Memphis Black Law Students Association has been committed to furthering diversity within the law school and our surrounding community. In association with various other minority organizations, we have strived to create an environment that fosters inclusion and diversity in every way possible. Join us as we celebrate the many ways diversity, in its broad dimensions, enriches our university, our city, and our nation. Because excellence arises from many different sources, this event will bring together hundreds of judges, lawyers, law students, and leaders in the corporate, non-profit, educational, religious, and government sectors to highlight a wide array of contributions and achievements, paying particular attention to race, ethnicity, gender, LBGTQ status, and disability status, while promoting diversity in all of its forms as a driver of innovation and excellence.
We are pleased to have former American Bar Association President and current President of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, Robert Grey, to deliver the keynote address. This inaugural event will serve as a key fundraiser for diversity scholarships and initiatives at the University of Memphis Law School.
