"Come Back Home" to Celebrate True Blue Day at UofM Lambuth
October 8, 2015 - The University of Memphis Lambuth is inviting former faculty, staff, students and friends to "Come Back Home" for True Blue Day 2015 on Saturday, Oct. 24. Activities will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The day will start with doughnuts and coffee. Throughout the day there will be a sale of T-shirts and vintage Lambuth gear to raise funds for the Heritage Room, a kids' carnival area and campus tours provided by student ambassadors dressed as individuals from Lambuth history. Guests may participate in a discussion with UofM Lambuth Vice Provost Niles Reddick at 10:30 a.m. and see a planetarium show at 11 a.m. A complimentary lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The Distinguished Alumni Awards program will be held at 1 p.m. honoring three outstanding alumni. Also during the program, the Class of 1965 will be inducted into the Half Century Club and former Lambuth coaches Pepper Bray and Vic Wallace will be recognized.
At 3 p.m. there will be a reopening of the Health & Wellness Building followed by a rededication of the basketball court to former athletic director and coach Bray.
