U.S. News & World Report Ranks Five UofM Online Programs Among Best

January 11, 2018 - The University of Memphis has five online academic programs ranked by U.S. News & World Report, including Nursing, which is ranked 15th nationally after climbing 86 spots in the rankings.

The UofM currently offers five of the eight online programs which are ranked by U.S. News, and all are ranked: Nursing, No. 15; Criminal Justice (graduate), No. 51-67; MBA, No. 89; bachelor's programs, No. 125; and Education (graduate), No. 150.

"The launch of UofM Global has increased visibility, led to growth, and has provided a strategic vehicle to share the great work being done on our campus," said UofM President M. David Rudd. "Our Nursing program is ranked 15th nationally, a remarkable accomplishment.

"It is great to see well-deserved progress. This year's rankings will provide an opportunity to leverage further, enhancing not just UofM Global, but our broader University. This progress only happens because of exceptional teamwork, starting with the excellent work of our faculty and staff."

Last year the UofM had one online program ranked, Nursing at No. 101.

The University also has 19 on-ground graduate programs ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report. They include: Audiology (No. 17), Rehabilitation Counseling (No. 21), Speech-Language Pathology (No. 24), Health Care Management (No. 47), Clinical Psychology (No. 102), Earth Sciences (No. 106), Public Affairs (No. 115), Social Work (No. 123), Math (No. 126), English (No. 133), History (No. 134), Engineering (No. 139), Law (No. 140), Fine Arts (No. 147), Psychology (No. 148), Education (180); Part-Time MBA (No. 182), Biological Sciences (No. 209) and Nursing Master's (No. 209). The undergraduate program in Engineering is ranked No. 162.
