Law Alumni Chapter Celebration Raises Record Amount for Scholarships
It brings me great pleasure to announce our Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Chapter recently raised nearly $160,000 toward scholarships for University of Memphis law students. These impressive and generous contributions were generated as part of the 10th Annual Pillars of Excellence Awards hosted by the Law Alumni Chapter.
This amount is more than double what was raised as part of the previous events. These funds will help create as many as 10 new scholarships awarded to law students.
The Pillars of Excellence Awards are centered around recognizing outstanding attorneys in our region who have contributed significantly to the legal profession. This year's edition of the event, which was hosted at FedExForum in downtown Memphis, honored these distinguished individuals:

Honorable Bernice Bouie Donald (BA ’74, JD ’79)
United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit
