Amber BushAmber Bush, M.S. - Associate Dean of Students for Student Accountability
Amber is a graduate of the University of Memphis but a native of Knoxville, TN. She previously served as the Assistant Director for Student Accountability. Her previous experience in Student Affairs is via Residence Life, which contributed to her knowledge of multiple aspects of student services. She completed her Master's in Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Student Personnel at the University of Memphis. She is also recipient of the Bettie Bell Distinguished Service Award at the University of Memphis. Amber has served in numerous leadership roles both on and off campus that reinforce her desire to be a valuable resource to students. She has a genuine love for the city of Memphis and wishes for the University of Memphis to be a constant source of upward mobility for the Memphis Metro Area.


 

Margie GriffinMargie Griffin, B.S. - Assistant Director for Student Accountability
Margie is a native Memphian who is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Martin, having earned her degree in Criminal Justice. She currently serves as an Assistant Director for Student Accountability. Margie joined the University of Memphis staff in April 2020 as an Equity Specialist in the Office for Institutional Equity, where she gained invaluable experience in investigating alleged violations of Title IX, discrimination, civil rights, and employment policies within the university setting. Margie has extensive experience in the field of investigations due to her prior employment in local and state governmental agencies, as well as private industry over the past 30 years. Her work history has allowed her to effectively interact with individuals of all backgrounds. Margie strongly believes in fairness to all and the importance of maintaining confidentiality in the course of her work.

 

Morgan LinsyMorgan Linsy, Coordinator for Student Accountability
Morgan is a native Memphian and graduate of the University of Memphis. As an Emerging Leader, she held executive and supporting roles in organizations such as Omicron Delta Kappa, the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Coalition, Frosh Camp and more, gaining knowledge of effective outreach and engagement. As Chief Justice of the Student Government Association, Morgan trained in judicial and legal procedures in higher education, overseeing a peer court which reviewed parking appeals to enforce safety measures on campus and exercising critical thinking and analysis to ensure effective case management. These roles earned her recognition as a Ms. University of Memphis Finalist and Carson’s Circle recipient, both honors to which she credits the students whose stories impacted her own. Now, as a graduate student pursuing her Master’s in Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Student Affairs Administration, Morgan is ready to engage future generations of students by motivating them to seek the change within themselves that they want to see in the world.
