The FedEx Institute of Technology

An Institute unlike any other, the FedEx Institute of Technology is a bridge from academic innovation to corporate application. Founded in 2003 as a center of emerging technologies innovation, the FedEx Institute of Technology is the applied innovation arm of the Division of Research and Innovation.  The Institute enjoys a unique innovation partnership with FedEx, which sponsors the Institute for advanced research purposes. The Institute is the central hub for efforts to maintain a cutting-edge innovative environment in the Mid-South region. It also offers training and collaboration opportunities in emerging technologies and related breakthrough concepts.

The Division of Research and Innovation is the front door to applied innovation on campus. From helping faculty commercialize their patents and inventions to partnering with industry to advance  innovation, the Division is here to provide the resources for translating scholarly  into applied solutions.
