Parent & Family Services is looking for Parent & Family Ambassadors to fill multiple volunteer opportunities tduring the academic year and summer months. Recruitment Events

Location: On Campus/ Regional Locations
Join us at a Recruitment event to welcome our potential new parents and families. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to chat with prospective parents and answer their questions.

Summer Send-offs

Location: Varies by region/city
Join us to welcome new students and their families to the University of Memphis. This is an opportunity for families and their students to make connections with those who are connected with the UofM in their area. Volunteers are encouraged to attend to help welcome and greet families and students. 

Parent & Family Orientation: Parent Panel

Location: Main UofM Campus
Help new Tiger families by sharing your experience and advice! Each summer we ask parents of current students to volunteer to serve on our Parent Panel at Parent Orientation during New Student Orientation. Panelists answer questions from Orientation attendees and pass on their best advice.

In-Person Events: Parent & Family Weekend, Parent & Family Spring Day and more!

Location: On or Off Campus in Memphis
We always need an extra set of hands at our events! Volunteers can sign up to greet attendees, help with check-in, pack swag bags, and more!

Virtual Events: Virtual Affinity Groups

Location: Virtual
Help us by volunteering to facilitate or participate in a virtual connection group for special populations (e.g. first-generation, student-athletes, music students, pre-nursing, honors, minority, etc.)

Parent and Family Advisory Board

Location: Virtual
Serving on our Parent & Family Advisory Board (meeting virtually 1-2 times a semester to give office feedback on initiatives)
