The Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Memphis is housed in the J. M. Smith Chemistry Building, a 125,000 sq. ft. five-story structure.

    • ThermoElectron LCQ Advantage liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer (MRI, CHE 0619682)
    • Aviv 410 spectrometer with circular dichroism, absorbance, and fluorescence detection with titration, stopped flow, and temperature control accessories (MRI, CHE 0722973)
  • Substantial Computational Chemistry Infrastructure and Computing Facilities (see CROMIUM and HPC websites)
