Tribute gifts are deeply appreciated and can give form and permanence to someone's life by recognizing them at the University of Memphis. Our donor relations professionals stand ready to assist individuals and families who would like to direct memorial or honor contributions to the University in a variety of ways, including Endowed Scholarship Funds.

For each tribute gift, UofM sends notification of the gift to the individual(s) that you designate. Please include the name and address of the individual(s) you would like us to notify along with your gift. Gift credit is given to the donor, as well as tax credit per the current tax laws.

Gifts to name a scholarship or professorship may be made in a variety of ways, including one of the University's several planned gift strategies.

Honor Gifts

A gift made in honor of a person is a living testimonial that keeps on giving. It can be used as a way to recognize someone who has made an impact in your life or achieved a special milestone or for the person who has everything. Such a gift is appreciated by the honoree as well as the university and benefits students, faculty and University initiatives.

Memorial Gifts

A gift made in memory of a person is a special way to honor a respected colleague or a beloved friend or family member. Such a gift creates a legacy and memorializes the person by providing future generations the ability to continue the dream and pass it on.
