Step-by-step guide on transferring courses
This page is designed to help students understand the process of transferring courses to the University of Memphis.
Step One
- Complete a TCR form and email the signed and dated form to the Undergraduate Program Coordinator. Please complete the information in the form.
Step Two
- Apply as a transient student or non-degree-seeking student at the other institution.
Step three
- Register for the class at the other institution once admitted as a transient student. Permission from the department offering the course at the other institution may be required if the course has prerequisites.
Step Four
- Complete the course and earn a grade of C- or better.
Step Five
- Formally request that the other institution send the official transcript showing the final grade in the transfer course to the University of Memphis Registrar.
