About International and Global Studies

The International and Global Studies Program at the University of Memphis is part of Interdisciplinary Programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. Our program serves students seeking an understanding of the diverse national perspectives on the challenges confronting today's globalized society.

Our program is supported by an Advisory Board and Faculty Affiliate Program representing a range of academic departments across the university. 

Students in International and Global Studies program study and apply several disciplines to issues of human relationships as they exist across diverse cultures and nation-states. The major provides a path to internationally oriented careers in business, government, NGOs, tourism, media, and marketing.
