The University of Memphis Slide Society 

The University of Memphis Slide Society has a wide-ranging repertoire of original works and arrangements including classical, jazz, and pop favorites. 

Members of the ensemble come from the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music Trombone Studio and is comprised of auditioned undergraduate and graduate students.

Slide Show performs regularly in the Greater Memphis and the Mid-South areas and has been featured at the International Trombone Festival, The Big Twelve Trombone Conference, Tennessee Music Educators Convention, and the Clarke Terry Jazz Festival. 

Slide Society is open to undergraduates through doctoral candidates.
