Our mission is to provide a customer-friendly, on-campus residential community focusing on academic success, campus engagement and personal growth in a safe, quality environment for students, campus and community partners. We want to help prepare students for success through diverse and innovative living and learning environments.

RESIDENTIAL CURRICULUM
Living on campus at the University of Memphis is more than a place to stay—it’s a place to grow. We provide a dynamic residential experience for our housing students. Our educational priority is: Living on campus at the University of Memphis, students explore self, connect to community, and thrive as a Tiger.
Residents become comfortable with oneself through reflection, understanding of self in their environments, and by welcoming new experiences and knowledge.
Residents will be able to:

AREAS OF HOUSING AND RESIDENCE LIFE
Residence Life
The Residence Life team is responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential experience through communities that support student success. We provide day-to-day community support, leadership development, crisis response, and educational programming within the residence halls, serving as a vital connection between students and the campus community.
Housing Facilities
The Housing Facilities team plays a critical role in maintaining safe, clean, and functional residential environments for students. We ensure residence halls are well cared for, promptly address repair needs, and uphold facility standards. Our consistent behind-the-scenes work supports student comfort, safety, and overall quality of life within the residence halls.
Business Operations
The Business Operations team manages the essential administrative and operational functions that support a seamless residential experience. We oversee housing applications, room assignments, contracts, billing/charges, and the coordination of summer conference housing.
Residence Hall Association
The Residence Hall Association is a student-led organization, overseen by our professional staff members, that represents the voices and interests of residential students. We foster community engagement and advocacy by planning programs and collaborating with ampus partners.
