TESTIMONIALS:
"Thank you for the incredible opportunity to work as a GA with Housing and Residence
Life. It wasn't always easy, but I truly believe that the best growth comes from being
challenged...Looking back, I'm grateful for every part of it. I became a better communicator,
learned to juggle multiple priorities, and was encouraged to always stay curious and
keep learning. HRL felt like a home away from home, and I made friendships that I
know will last a lifetime. I'll always appreciate the life lessons and welcoming community!"
Mahima Sureka
International Student Services GA
January 2024 - May 2024
"My time as a GA was transformative in many ways. It helped shape both my professional skills and my understanding of conduct work in higher education. This role gave me the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while also providing the space to step up and lead in meaningful ways. Working in HRL showed me that supporting students effectlively truly takes a village with collaboration across departments, shared expertise, and collective commitment to student success.
What I valued most was the culture of mutual respect and support within our team.
Everyone was willing to be there for each other, and, most importantly, for our students.
I genuinely appreciated how we took time to celebrate each other from birthdays and
'Quotes of the Week' in the breakroom to award ceremonies recognizing the hard work
and dedication we all brought to our roles daily. These moments fostered a sense of
community that made the challenging work more rewarding."
