Salim Sazzed joined the UofM in August 2023 as a visiting assistant professor. He completed his PhD in computer science at Old Dominion University in 2023. Prior to that, he completed his BS and MS degrees in computer science and engineering at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. His research encompasses various sub-areas of artificial intelligence, including natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning. His particular focus lies in applying these AI techniques to the fields of data science, social computing, and bioinformatics.
