Dean Hill-Clarke Honored for 7 years of leadership at COE

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – College of Education Dean Dr. Kandi Hill-Clarke addressed a packed house on Tuesday, marking the end of her deanship.

Dean Hill-ClarkeInside the Fountain View Room at UofM’s University Center, Dean Hill-Clarke reflected on seven years of leading the COE, in front of dozens of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and mentors. Under Hill-Clarke’s leadership, the COE experienced increased enrollment, donor and philanthropic engagement, faculty research and grant productivity, developed new academic programs, and increased the college’s state and national rankings.

Dean Hill-Clarke was originally preparing for a well-deserved professional development assignment. However, starting next semester, she will make her transition to the Office of the Provost as Provost Fellow for Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development. A national search has been launched to find Dr. Hill-Clarke's replacement. In the meantime, Dr. Stephen Zanskas will serve as Interim Dean.Dr. Hill-Clarke speaking to crowd

Dr. Hill Clarke’s presence will be missed at Ball Hall, but we wish her the best of luck in her next venture, as she continues to work to make UofM a better place.
