Project Description: The project is an assessment of the 21st century compositional legacy of Alma Mahler. The work would include harvesting metadata about performances of Alma Mahler’s songs from social media platforms (starting with YouTube).
Requirements for Student Applicants: Students with computer programming skills and interest in classical music are encouraged to apply, but neither is mandatory.

Project Description: Participate in a mixed methods study to synthesize how an academic library's collaboration with the First Year Writing program has contributed to student success. Building on established research, this mixed methods case study will consider how First Year Writing instructors' attitudes and behaviors affect their students' researched argument papers. We will consider how both the efficacy of information literacy library sessions and the perceptions of instructors can impact First Year Writing students' success.
The student will be asked to assess student papers for source synthesis using a rubric. The student will also be conducting interviews using pre-established interview questions.
Requirements for Student Applicants: A strong work ethic and comfort speaking to instructors. Interest in education or information literacy research is a preference.
