Language Learning Lab (LLL)

The Language Learning Lab, is for young adults with intellectual disabilities who wish to continue to develop reading, writing, and cultural literacy skill. The objective of the Language/Learning Lab is to strengthen reading and creative writing through the exploration of literature and social studies. All components of the program focus on vocabulary development, expanding written and oral language and critical thinking skills. LLL provides a language-rich learning structure, as well as encouraging motivation to be a life-long learner.

This unique and intensive program has a limited enrollment each semester. Participants meet on Wednesday from 9:00 to 12:00. Students will receive instruction in targeted areas in small groups and one-on-one meetings with clinicians.

The Memphis Speech and Hearing Center will not bill insurance for these services.
